Payment Terms
- This website serves as the online home for the offline "parties with a purpose" attended by hiving.net members. It is provided as a service to obtain information about upcoming and past parties and, in the spirit of hiving::party with a purpose, to promote connection between hiving.net members. By accepting these terms of use, members agree to act in this same spirit, both on the website and at hiving parties.
- These terms of use apply to anyone attending hiving::parties; therefore, all invited guests of hiving members must join hiving.net and agree to these terms prior to attending a hiving::party.
- We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms of use from time to time, for any reason, and without prior notice; use of the website as a member indicates your acceptance of any changes. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these terms of use.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate, at our discretion, a member's account for violations of our rules, guidelines, or terms of use.
PRIVACY
- We respect your privacy.
- We want to encourage connection between hiving.net members, but not if it violates the above principle.
- We will never sell your data to any third party.
- We will never provide any of your data to a third party without your written permission.
- We will ensure that you can determine which pieces of the information you provide us are shown to other people (in your member profile or other parts of hiving.net).
- We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any financial information you provide us, including credit card numbers, is stored securely.
- We ask you to respect the privacy preferences of other hiving.net members.
- We ask you to remember that any information you choose to post publicly on this site is, of course, public (to hiving.net members).
- We reserve the right to post photographs and/or video of members taken at hiving parties on areas of the hiving.net website accessible to our members.

MEMBERSHIP
- Our website and membership are not available to the general public and require referral by an existing member of hiving.net or by referral by special arrangement, using a specific referral code. Members are expected to refer only interested/interesting people within their own real-world communities and not individuals who might bring discredit to or harm the reputation of hiving.net and our community.
- Paid memberships are active for one year from sign-up date and are non-transferable. You will receive an email prior to your terms end requesting renewal. If you don't respond to the email, your membership will be cancelled. Non-paid memberships are active forever unless cancellation is specifically requested.
- We reserve the right to change or adjust membership criteria and to make changes in the existing membership at any time and without prior notice.
- Hiving.net is made available for personal and individual use. Businesses and other legal entities may not use hiving.net for any purpose without our express consent.
- Your participation in hiving, both on and offline, is based upon the assumption that all information you provide regarding yourself is truthful and accurate. Misleading or false information is sufficient reason for us to terminate your membership. You may not use a pseudonym or alias.
CONDITIONS OF USE AND SERVICE
- We provide a platform and environment for connecting and sharing information. If members enter into agreements with other members through hiving.net, we are not a contracting party to these agreements and cannot be held liable or accountable regarding these agreements.
- Hiving.net reserves the right to remove any comments or content from the site, for any reason and without prior warning.
- We reserve the right to post photographs and/or video of members taken at hiving parties on areas of the hiving.net website accessible to our members.
- Hiving.net is community minded and contributes a portion of its ticket income to a carefully selected charitable organization. Because hiving is not registered as a 501c3, your payments are not tax deductible.
- Payment received for hiving::parties is non-refundable.
YOUR MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- We own the hiving™ trademark; you may not use the name or logo for any purpose, event or promotion without our expressed consent.
- You may not distribute, display or publish in any form, electronic or print, any content from the website or the names of any members without our express consent, nor can you share, transmit or sell any content on the website with anyone who is not a member of hiving.net, for whatever reason.
- Falsely misrepresenting your identity, including the use of a pseudonym or alias, or your profile information will result in your member account being suspended or terminated.
- We want to keep hiving free from intrusions. You will not send or distribute unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, chain letters, spam, pyramid schemes, or any other type of solicitation to other members, nor will you stalk, harass or unreasonably disturb any other member.
- You alone are responsible for the confidentiality and security of your account's username, password and usage. You are also accountable for all activities regarding your account, with or without your knowledge or permission. If you knowingly provide your log-in information to another person, your membership may be suspended temporarily or terminated. Hiving assumes no liability for activities of your account accessed through your password and username.
- Please respect the law. Do not post copyrighted material (unless you own the copyright) or attempt to engage in illegal behavior of any sort, either online at hiving.net or offline at hiving parties.
- You agree that your use of hiving.net and attendance at hiving::parties is entirely at your own risk. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Hiving™ from and against any third-party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of our services, website, and parties, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature.
- You must be 21 years of age or older to be a member of hiving.net or to attend hiving parties.
DATA & INFORMATION PROTECTION - Hiving™ is based upon trust and privacy. All personal information provided to hiving.net is treated with the utmost confidence and care.
- We will not disclose any personal data to any third party without being entitled to do so and with your express permission.
- While we make every effort to keep hiving.net a trusted and safe environment, we cannot be held liable should content you have posted on the website that is viewable by members be copied or distributed elsewhere.
- Access to your private account information is limited to webmasters and management of hiving.net. No other employees, contractors or third parties will have access to this information without your express permission.
- Hiving.net may access, preserve, and disclose the contents of your account if required to do so by law, or in the belief that such actions are reasonably necessary to comply with legal requirements or to protect the rights and property of hiving.net.
IN CONCLUSION
- Membership in hiving.net confirms that you have read and accept these terms of use, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you violate these terms, or otherwise act disrespectfully, disruptively or illegally on hiving.net or at a hiving::party, we reserve the right to terminate your membership, at any time, and without prior warning.
